I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Amanda Cales and Justin Macumber from the excellent Dead Robot’s Society podcast, and they agreed to let me post the audio in my feed. I’ve known Amanda since our days posting in the I Should be Writing forums, so the interview was fun and I think it turned out well. If you like this interview and are interested in writing, head over to DRS and subscribe!

Cannonball (codename for 2 year-old daughter) holds her 2 copies of Infected. I was only going to buy one, but she wouldn’t let me have hers so I had to buy two. I don’t ask for donations on this podcast (although if you want to purchase MaAH on Lulu, I won’t stop you
), so I’m asking you to go to your brick and mortar bookstore and check out Infected. The bigger splash that Infected makes on the NY Times Bestseller list, the more traditional publishers will look at what podcast novelists are doing.

Seth Harwood has been podcasting for a while now, and his first podcast novel (Jack Wakes Up) is being published by Breakneck Books, available on Amazon.com on March 16th. As with J.C. Hutchins and Scott Sigler, Seth successfully parleyed his podcast success into a publishing deal, and this book launch will be an important marker for podcasters that approach publishers with similar hopes.
I’ve given Seth control of the podcast for the evening. Ep. 18 of Murder at Avedon Hill will be released tomorrow night.
Give Seth a listen. The .pdf of Jack Wakes Up, mentioned in this podcast, can be found on Seth’s website (.pdf link underneath the Read button on his top menu). Enjoy!

I had the honor of being Joe Mieczkowski’s first interview on his relatively new podcast, On the Podcast. We got together this past weekend and talked for a couple of hours, and he did a wonderful job of editing it down to a two part interview. Part 1 was posted yesterday, and Part 2 should be released next weekend. Give it a listen!
