Ok, so two years later, and I've finally come to MaAH. I was compelled to leave a comment due to a funny coincidence this morning. I was listening to T-minus 1: The Seeker on my iPhone when my son woke up. I paused the story by clicking the headphone play/pause button so I could take my son's breakfast order. When I clicked the button again a few minutes later, I was momentarily confused by music coming through the earbuds. I was further confused when I looked at the screen and saw the title of "The Seeker". Then I had to laugh. Somehow, when I paused playback, then hit play, the iPod app had reverted back to my music library, which I have on random. Coincidentally (or not?), the song playing was The Seeker, by The Who.

Thanks guys!

I created a 128 kbps version and can really tell the difference between the two, and the file size only went from 31 MB to 39 MB... I think I'll go with 128 from now on.

I still get some voice distortion... I think I'm still too close to the mic. But if I'm not that close to the mic my levels are low... still fuzzy if I have the mixer settings (completely) correct.

The sound quality is good. Although I would not go lower than 96 kbs but since the spoken word is the main focus here you should be fine. Now if music was your focus then I would recommend the 128 kbs. (That is what my show is at.)
