MaAH: T-Minus 1 - Seeker
March 21st, 2007 at 6:58 pm (Podcast)
T-Minus 1 is a short story set in the Land of Caern, detailing events that marked the beginning of the “War for Caern” (some twenty-five years before the events of Murder at Avedon Hill).
I hope the sound quality of this episode is considerably better than previous episodes. I’m trying to decide whether I want to encode at a 96 or 128 bitrate. This file is at 96 kbps. Any feedback on the sound quality of this episode would be greatly appreciated!

Mate the audio good at 96 bitrate but i think you should go 128 bitrate. Cool story thou, keep up the good work………….

The sound quality is good. Although I would not go lower than 96 kbs but since the spoken word is the main focus here you should be fine. Now if music was your focus then I would recommend the 128 kbs. (That is what my show is at.)

Thanks guys!
I created a 128 kbps version and can really tell the difference between the two, and the file size only went from 31 MB to 39 MB… I think I’ll go with 128 from now on.
I still get some voice distortion… I think I’m still too close to the mic. But if I’m not that close to the mic my levels are low… still fuzzy if I have the mixer settings (completely) correct.
