Episode 24 - Live Event on June 15th!
June 12th, 2008 at 9:06 pm (Podcast)
NOTE : Adding audio promo to this post. Let’s see if it works its way into the feed.
Care to finish your Father’s Day festivities with a live Murder at Avedon Hill event?! At 10 pm Eastern time (GMT -05:00) on Sunday, June 15th, I will be hosting a live video podcast event. I will be performing a live reading of Episode 24 (Chapter 23). For those that cannot attend, the audio version of ep. 24 will be released that same day.
To attend:
You can view the live event on the MaAH site on the Ustream Video page. For those that would like to use the more intuitive Ustream interface, watch the event at the MaAH Channel on Ustream.tv
Know someone that might like MaAH but hasn’t tried it out?
This event will be a great introduction to the podcast. We’ll begin the evening with a lengthy story so far, read by the one and only Leann Mabry. This should give new listeners what they need to understand what’s going on. After this I’ll be reading chapter 23, and as long as I can work out the logistics, this should include music, sound effects, and guest voices.
After the reading I will be taking questions from the audience (and from twitter). I’m looking forward to this, so please, join me if you can!

Yikes! I just checked the times. This will be going down at 3am in the UK. That maybe pushing even for an Uber fan
I have serious sleep issues as it is at the mo. Sob Sob….

I was wondering about the time n the UK. I thought it was 5 hours, and not 7
Well, I certainly understand. If it works, I should be recording the event through ustream. I based the time on having the best chance of pulling in west coast listeners (post father’s day events) and so a certain kiwi can attend.

I understand you have to try to please a whole world (literally) of folk. If my boys get me out of bed at 3am instead of their usual 5am I will be there
Otherwise I will be snoring.
I hope it goes well.

That’s 8:30 AM on June 16 for me.
I probably won’t be able to attend it because of the pathetically low internet speed I have (256 kbps), and even if there is a low bandwidth version that you put up, I’ll be late for it because there’re power cuts in my town every day for two hours in the morning from 6:30 to 8:30 AM, which seems to extend for a quarter of an hour to half an hour most of the time.
There really is nothing you can do about it. Its just my bad luck. You’ve got fans all over the world, and I’m sure that what you’re doing will be best for the majority of users.
I’m still in love with your novel, P.G., and your novel is still my favourite.

Sukarn, Robin: Sorry about the logistics/time in your neck of the woods. I will definitely do this on a Friday or Saturday next time.

Seems like I am up early next monday.
Fortunately it’s just 1-2 hours before my regular time getting up.

ughhhh just realised timezones mean I’ll be at work- Monday here. I’ll give it a try, but not sure if I can be there. Good luck if I’m no PG.
