“The Raleigh “Write 2 Publish” Writers Group is holding a panel discussion on the topic of “Podcasting, Blogs, and Self-Publishing: New Ways to Reach Audiences with Your Book” with authors P.G. Holyfield, Mur Lafferty, and Elisa Lorello.
As traditional publishing gets increasingly harder to crack, authors are finding non-traditional ways to build an audience. Our purpose is to explore the latest non-traditional pathways that authors are taking to reach bestseller status.
This should be extremely insightful, and afterwards, you’re invited to join us for food and drinks at TK Tripps, adjacent to Quail Ridge Books.”
My note: I hope everyone in the Raleigh area will come to Quail Ridge Books, one of the best independent bookstores in North Carolina, to see me… or at least to see the great Mur Lafferty. Thanks to Stacey Cochran for putting this panel together and hosting the event.
A promo for the event will appear in Ep. 21. It is also located on the sidebar!! Anyone that has a podcast, please play it!

the closest any podcaster as gotten to me is houston (the sigler book tour)
if you get within 400miles of san antonio, i am there (with family in tow)
hell, i’d even go to el paso (10hr drive, well actually 8hrs for me, low level flight, ya know), sit would even do that 14hr drive to sante fe, NM (alburquerque would be better, though, like it better there).
wife has been hinting at me to do a math podcast. i haven’t a clue how to do this and it would need to be video (i can’t talk math without a whiteboard)
i am rambling now, goodbye
OH and PG, thanks again for the opportunity to do the SSF. Abby sounds great (sound did Lolly, our lovebird)

Hey Treed - great intro! Well done you, Abby and Lolly.
I would love to visit some podcast meetups but not a lot happens over here in the UK. However the supremely talented Mike Bennett has said he may do a book launch in Brighton in the South of the UK if he decides to launch OATS in print.
